Step into the Heian period and walk the Kumano Kodo in elegant traditional attire.
During the height of Kumano worship, countless pilgrims traveled these sacred routes in long processions—so many that they were once compared to “ants marching.”
In this experience, you will dress in beautifully recreated Heian-period costumes at Daimonzaka Chaya and stroll along the historic Kumano Kodo.
Follow in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims and explore Nachisan (home to Kumano Nachi Taisha and Nachi Falls)—one of Japan’s most sacred destinations.
Experience the spiritual atmosphere of Kumano in a way few travelers ever do, and create memories that will stay with you forever.
