With a history of over 1,200 years, Daitaiji Temple houses many cultural properties. Since the Edo period it has been converted to the Rinzai Sect of Buddhism, making it a rare temple where you can also experience Zen meditation.

At Daitaiji Temple, we offer our guests lodgings in a room that was used as the chief priest’s room, and in the detached building next to the main hall. In a quiet atmosphere be enchanted by the beautiful Buddhist statues and experience the purification of your mind through Zen meditation and sutra copying.
